How to Make Oats Upma – Quick And Easy Weight loss Recipe

Oats Upma

Servings – 2 – 3

INGREDIENTS
Oil – 2 teaspoons
Ghee – 2 teaspoons
Mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Bay leaf – 1
Cinnamon stick – 1 inch
Star anise – 1
Cloves – 2
Cardamom – 1 pod
Cashews – 1 tablespoon
Curry leaves – 10 – 12
Onions – 60 grams
Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
Green chili – 2
Carrot – 60 grams
Green beans – 2 tablespoons
Green peas – 50 grams
Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Water – 220 milliliters
Oats – 100 grams

PREPARATION
1. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a heavy skillet, add 2 teaspoons ghee, 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1 bay leaf, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 1 star anise, 2 cloves, 1 cardamom pod and stir well.
2. Add 1 tablespoon cashews, 10 – 12 curry leaves, 60 grams onions, 1 teaspoon ginger paste, 2 green chili and stir for 3 – 5 minutes.
3. Add 60 grams carrot, 2 tablespoons green beans, 50 grams green peas, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon salt and mix well.
4. Add 220 milliliters water and mix well. Cover it with lid and cook for about 5 – 10 minutes.
5. Add 100 grams oats and mix well. Cook for 3 – 5 minutes.
6. Serve.
