Hey guys, her is an easy crockpot recipe called Chicken Marsala that we worked into this week’s meal plan. I came up with this recipe after searching several ideas on pinterest and ended up using parts of different stove top and crock pot recipes.
3-4 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
(seasoned with salt, lemon pepper, and dried parsley)
2 TBS minced garlic
1 small pkg sliced mushrooms
1-1.5 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Season chicken breasts on both side and place in bottom of crockpot.
Put minced garlic on top of chicken, then entire package of sliced mushrooms, and pour chicken broth over everything then close lid.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Then carefully remove chicken and place on cutting board.
Turn crockpot up to high and add in heavy whipping cream.
Roughly chop chicken and return to crock pot, place lid on top and let cook for additional 10 minutes.
(I use this time to cook my egg noodles on the stove top. By the time the noodles are ready, so is the chicken.)
When done serve over egg noodles and enjoy.
If you like your sauce thicker you can mix together 1 TBS corn starch and 2 TBS cold water in a separate bowl/cup, then just stir into sauce.
