GINGERBREAD FRENCH TOAST RECIPE

Ingredients

3 Eggs
¾ Cup / 190ml Milk or Cream
¼ Cup / 60ml Molasses or Treacle
3 Tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Ground Ginger
½ tsp Cinnamon
¼ tsp Nutmeg
1 Crusty Loaf
Butter for frying

Instructions

In a bowl mix together the eggs, milk, molasses, sugar and spices until well combined.
Slice the bread into 8 slices, about 1 inch or 2cm thick.
Heat a frypan over medium heat and add 1 tsp of butter.
Dip a slice of bread into the egg mixture for 10 to 20 seconds, flipping over half way. Let the excess mixture drip off.
Place the bread slice into the frypan and cook for about 3-4 minutes each side.
