Black forest is a gem among desserts recipes for kids. This cake is layered with whipped cream and garnished with chocolate shavings.

Cream – 350 grams (1.5 cup)
Dark chocolate compound – 200 grams
Icing sugar – 150 grams (1 cup)
Vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp
Butter – 50 grams (1/4 cup melted)
Honey – 2 tbsp
Chocolate sponge cake – with 7 inch diameter (700 grams)
Take cream in a big bowl and add melted butter to it.
In another big bowl, fill it with ice cubes and place the cream filled bowl over it.
Divide the cake into three even layers with a flat palate knife.
Add 6 tsp water in honey and mix well. You can use sugar as well.
With help of a electric whisker, whip the cream for 3 to 4 minutes. To it now add icing sugar and whisk for another 3 to 4 minutes.
Now add vanilla essence and whisk the again. Whipped cream is ready. Make sure you use really cold cream.
Spread some cream over the cake stand and place the baked cake over it.
Place one cake layer over the stand and brush it with some honey water to make it sweet and soft.
Now spread some whipped cream over this layer, evenly and then place the second layer over it as well. Brush it with homey water again and spread some cream over it as well.
Place the third layer of cake as well and again brush it with some honey water. Now evenly spread some cream over this layer as well.
Place four butter papers all around the cake to make it in lifting the cake from stand.
Apply some cream all around the cake, covering the sides. Make them smooth enough.
Make chocolate shaves with help from a peeler and melt the rest. Mix the melted chocolate to the cream really well.
Place this cream in a piping bag fitted with flower nozzle at the end. Make small flowers all over the cake. Sprinkle some chocolate shaves in the center.
Remove butter paper from the sides and lift the cake from stand very gently and carefully and place it on a tray or plate.
Sumptuous and lip smacking black forest cake is ready. Cut in any size and shape and serve. You can relish eating this cake for up to 3 to 4 days.
