Chocolate Mug Cake

Well, when you think of cocoa in a mug, the first thing that comes to mind is a cup of hot chocolate, but here is something that will please your taste buds even more than that… a warm Chocolate Mug Cake! Common baking ingredients like flour, cocoa powder, butter and condensed milk and quickly mixed together in a mug, highlighted with dark chocolate and baked in the microwave for just two minutes. Voila, a mouth-wateringly luscious chocolate cake is ready in your mug. Just make sure you serve this cake immediately as it tends to dry up after sometime.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes.
Cooking time: 2 minutes.
Makes 1 mug cake.

1 tbsp chopped dark chocolate
3 tbsp plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp cocoa powder
¼ tsp baking powder
A pinch of baking soda
3 tbsp condensed milk
4 tbsp milk
A few drops of vanilla essence

1. Combine the plain flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda in a microwave safe mug and mix well using a fork.
2. Add the condensed milk, milk and vanilla essence and mix very well using a fork till no lumps remain.
3. Add the dark chocolate, mix gently and microwave on HIGH on 2 minutes.
Serve immediately.

Handy Tip: You can also replace condensed milk with 3½ tbsp of powdered sugar.
