195 gms or 1 ½ cups of flour
25 gms or 4 tbsp of cocoa powder
200 gms or 1 cup of sugar
80 gms or 1/3rd cup of butter
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla essence
250 ml or 1 cup milk
1 tsp vinegar
– Add vinegar to milk along with vanilla essence.
– Once the wet ingredients are mixed bring all the dry ingredients together.
– Sieve flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda together.
– To butter add sugar and mix well.
– In batches add the dry mixture and wet mixture to the butter and sugar mixture and whisk it well.
– Make sure the batter is lump free.
– Pre heat the oven at 170°
– In a baking tray, apply butter and dust it with flour. Place a parchment paper and pour the batter evenly.
– Bake it for 30 to 35 minutes.
– Simple, easy, quick chocolate sponge cake is ready!
