In this episode, I share a recipe for brussels sprouts. I never had sprouts until a little over a month ago, and my love for these little cabbage-like vegetables have grown strong.
2 Garlic Cloves
1/4 Yellow Onion
1/2 lb Brussels Sprouts
2 Strips Bacon (sugar-free)
1 Tablespoon Ghee
Sprinkle of Red Pepper Flakes
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt.
While waiting for water to come to boil, cook bacon in the skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic, onion, and ghee and continue cooking on medium heat.
While bacon and veggies are cooking, add brussels sprouts to boiling water. Boil on high for 3 minutes.
Drain brussels sprouts and pat dry. Add the sprouts face down to the bacon/veggie mix in the pan.
Cook 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook 3-4 minutes. (I cook my longer because I like them to be slightly charred.)
