Chinese Sizzling Steak Recipe

Welcome to Chinese Cooking. My name is Xiao Wei, even at a early age I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in northern Chinese, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes.

200g Beef Fillet
4 Cloves Garlic
1 Tbsp Cooking Wine
Half Green Pepper
Half Red Pepper
Half Onion
1 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tsp Coarse Black Pepper
2 Tbsp Black Bean Sauce
Salt to Taste

1. Slice the garlic and onion.
2. Slice the green and red peppers.
3. Slice the beef into medium threads and place in a mixing bowl.
4. Add the salt, sugar, cooking wine and black pepper.
5. Add 20ml of water into the mixing bowl and mix all ingredients together.
6. Then cover and leave to marinate for 20 minutes.
7. Place a iron steak plate over a flame and heat on medium heat.
8. Heat half a litre of oil in the wok, once the oil is hot then turn heat to low.
9. Add the beef one piece at a time and fry for 10 seconds until turned to paler colour.
10.Remove the beef from the oil and place onto a dish, leave about 2 Tbsp of oil in the wok and discard the rest.
11. Turn heat to high. add garlic and onion into the wok, fry for few seconds.
12. Add peppers and fry for a minute.
13. Add the beef back in the wok.
14. Add the black bean sauce and stir fry for a minute.
15. Transfer beef onto the hot iron plate, place iron plate onto wood stand and serve.
