Here is the recipe for Whole Chicken in a Crockpot with vegetables.
1 whole Chicken ( Chicken I used weighed about 3 lbs)
1/4 cup of chopped onions
1/4 cup of chopped carrots
2 chopped potatoes
1/4 cup of chopped Celery
1/2 Tbsp of onion salt
1/2 Tbsp of paprika
3 Tbsp of vegetable rub
1. Chopped the onions, carrots, potatoes, and celery. Then add it to the crockpot. This will add as a stand for the whole chicken. (This will help with making a natural chicken broth.)
2. Mix your seasonings together. I used onion salt, paprika, and vegetable rub, but you can use any seasoning you want.
3. Remove the insides of the chicken, wash and pat dry.
4. Rub the seasoning mix all over the chicken including the inside. Place the whole chicken on top of the vegetables in the crockpot. Cover and cook on High for 4-41/2 hours or Low for 61/2 to 8.
Your chicken will come out extremely moist and the juices from the chicken with the vegetables will create a natural broth. Enjoy!
