Slow Cooked Smothered Pork Chops
3 – 3 1/2 hours on high or 5 -5 1/2 on low
8 Pork chops
2 c Flour
1 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
12-3 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Salt
1 Tsp Pepper
1 C White Wine
1 Medium Onion – chopped
4-5 Cloves Garlic – minced
4 Shakes of Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Thyme
2 Pks Beef Broth – sodium free
1 tsp Gravy Master
32 oz Chicken Stock or broth
3 Tbsp Butter
16 oz Heavy Cream
2 White Onions – sliced
1 lb Mushrooms- sliced
Put flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt & pepper in a gallon size plastic bag. Dredge pork chops and
Heat oil in pan and sear pork chops 3-4 minutes on each side or until starts to brown, remove from heat.
Deglaze pan with white wine, scrapping up all the little bits from the pan. Add chopped onion, garlic, worcestershire
thyme, beef broth & gravy master. Stir until well combined. Add chicken stock and bring back up to temperature. Add butter
and stir adding heavy cream until blended.
Place 1/3 of the onions into the bottom of the slow cooker. Add pork chops, onions and mushrooms in layers until everything is
in the pot. Pour on gravy and cook until tender.
If the gravy is on the thin side you can make a mixture of flour & water to thicken.
Serve over Egg Noodles or Mashed Potatoes
