Doi Ilish – Popular Bengali Fish Recipe Doi Shorshe Ilish – Hilsa Fish Curry

Here is another Popular Bengali Fish Recipe Doi Ilish. This Doi Shorshe Ilish macher jhol is very delicious Bengali Fish Curry. Just watch this step by step easy recipe and try to make at home.

Ingredients of Doi Ilish:
1. Ilish Mach / Hilsha Fish (6 pc).
2. Mustard seeds paste (4 tsp of mustard seeds).
3. Green chilli paste (3 to 4).
4. Slitted green chilli (4 to 5).
5. Turmeric powder (1 tsp0.
6. Mustard oil (6 tbsp).
7. Salt (as per your taste).
8. Sugar (as per your taste).
9. Plain yogurt (3 tbsp).

Step by Step Doi Shorshe Ilish Macher Recipe:
1. Take a mixing bowl.
2. Add mustard seeds paste, 3 tbsp plain yogurt, 1 tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp sugar, green chilli paste, slited green chilli, and 2 tbsp mustard oil. Mix all the ingredients very well.
3. Add hilsa fishes in the mixture. Keep it for 15 min.
4. Then heat the pan and add 4 tbsp mustard oil in it.
5. Add Ilish Maach with masala.
6. Cook in medium flame for 1 to 105 min. Then add 1 cup water.
7. When boiling cover it for 5 min in medium flame.
8. After 5 min now taste it.
9. Add more salt or sugar as per your taste.
10. Cook in high flame for 2 to 3 min.
11. Put off gas oven.
12. Serve hot Doi Ilish with hot steamed rice.
